Dr. Swanson is a dynamic pediatrician, speaker and mother of two young boys.  She began blogging for Seattle Children’s Hospital in 2009 and has built a loyal and diverse following of parents and medical professionals as author of Seattle Mama Doc.

As one of the first pediatricians to blog for a leading children’s hospital, she has gained first-hand experience on how to leverage social media platforms to provide relevant, practical and timely guidance to parents focused on raising healthy children. Dr Swanson tackles issues as controversial as vaccines to topics less fiery like work life balance, timing of the introduction of solids foods for babies, and drug and product recalls.

Dr. Swanson provides a voice of reason for parents and pediatricians faced with an abundance of online noise. She is focused on helping parents gain clarity and eliminate fear when making decisions for their children.
